The Hyndburn’s Woodlands Project held two bat walks at Woodnook Vale LNR during September!

Both times we teemed up with our bat detecting partner, Roger ‘The Batman’ Cunliffe, who graciously offered to share his incredible knowledge with us.

Participants were led around the vale with detectors in hands to listen for our flying friends, it didn’t take long to start hearing and seeing them, though!

The vale was positively teeming with activity, with bats heard at nearly every stop.

Thank you to everyone who came along, your attendance made it the wonderful event it was! Thank you also to Roger Cunliffe for sharing his amazing knowledge with us!

As always, thank you to our funders at Lancashire County Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, and the Windfall Fund for making it all possible
